Taking a Break from the Military - Moms need a Minute
Life with a military family can be busy and crazy. It's important to keep yourself healthy mentally and physically. Moms in military families are often asked to be ready for anything and everything—and it

can be easy to burn out if you don't take the time to care for yourself. But self care doesn’t need to be expensive, time-consuming, or complicated.
In fact, it's the simple things that help us get through our busy days as moms in military families:
Drinking water throughout the day
An hour of reading a book while sipping coffee at a café on a Saturday morning
A hot shower with your favorite bath product
Taking five minutes to breathe deeply in front of an open window
Going on a hike or a simple walk in your neighborhood (I’ve met new friends that way)
Taking a nap with your little ones
Cuddling and petting your fur baby and engaging in a conversation with them. Pablo seems to also enjoy this when we have our one on one time.
These activities may seem insignificant, but they are essential ingredients for helping you feel more balanced and energized. They'll also help you avoid burnout when life gets busy and crazy.
